Pakistan: In hiding

Christian man in Pakistan in hiding

This young man was falsely accused of blasphemy against Mohammed and had to flee and hide to escape jail or worse. The blasphemy law (295c) hangs over the head of all that are not Muslim in Pakistan. It allows for a Muslim to make an accusation, without evidence, against a Christian (as in this case) for insulting or slandering the Prophet Mohammed. Jailing is immediate and often followed by weeks of torture culminating in a possible death or life sentence.
